"Well, Kin is a chat app. So maybe the most user friendly thing would be to introduce “channels”. It’s a concept that people are already familiar with. Each channel could have a name, and description, that could be used to help Kin get related memories and understand the chat purpose. You could also make some settings channel specific, like searching the web. And include some default channels like “research”, “bored”, “therapy” and similar. Therapy, for example, could have web search off, because people would be most concerned about privacy. Whereas research could be set up to always search the web with every message. Doing it this way would give Kin context, while also helping me group related logs together."
